Mercedes Sprinter High Roof — CNC Cutting DXF Files | Floor, Wall, Ceiling & Door Panels | 144, 170 & 170 Ext

Build your Sprinter camper van interior your way with CNC cutting design files created for DIY builders.

These DXF files are designed for high-roof Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans and can be used for both left-hand-drive (LHD) and right-hand-drive (RHD) configurations.

The designs are based on my own Sprinter conversion experience and many hours of measuring, designing, and refining. My goal is simple: help fellow Sprinter DIYers save time on layout and cutting while keeping the flexibility to customize their own builds.

1. VEHICLE COMPATIBILITY

Roof Height

These designs are intended for high-roof Sprinter vans.

In European Sprinter model terminology, the relevant high-roof configurations include:

  • L2H2 — Medium-length body, high roof (Sprinter 144 High Roof)

  • L3H2 — Long body, high roof (Sprinter 170 High Roof)

  • L4H2 — Extra-long body, high roof  (Sprinter 170 Ext High Roof)

These are approximate length-category counterparts to the North American 144", 170", and 170" Extended configurations, respectively. Exact dimensions and model availability can vary by model year and market, so please verify your actual vehicle configuration before purchasing.

Left-Hand Drive and Right-Hand Drive

The DXF designs are intended for both steering configurations.

LHD (left-hand drive) is common in countries and markets such as:

  • United States

  • Canada

  • Mexico

  • Most of continental Europe

  • China

  • South Korea

  • Most of South America

RHD (right-hand drive) is common in countries and markets such as:

  • Australia

  • New Zealand

  • United Kingdom

  • Ireland

  • Japan

  • India

  • South Africa

  • Singapore

  • Malaysia

  • Thailand

Steering-wheel position alone does not determine fitment. Please also confirm your Sprinter's body length, roof height, rear-wheel configuration, factory trim, and interior layout.

Available North American Configurations

For the North American model selection, choose the configuration matching your van:

  • 144" Wheelbase — SRW: Single Rear Wheel

  • 144" Wheelbase — DRW: Dual Rear Wheel

  • 170" Wheelbase — SRW: Single Rear Wheel

  • 170" Wheelbase — DRW: Dual Rear Wheel

  • 170" Extended — SRW: Single Rear Wheel

  • 170" Extended — DRW: Dual Rear Wheel

The European L2H2, L3H2, and L4H2 labels are provided as a general guide, not a guarantee of exact interchangeability. Please verify the actual body dimensions before ordering.

2. CHOOSE YOUR PANEL PACKAGE

Option 1 — Floor Panels DXF

Floor cutting design files for extending your Sprinter's factory floor as part of a camper van conversion.

The design extends toward the front driver and passenger seats, reaching close to the front seats to provide additional floor coverage.

It also includes an additional 700 mm extension in the sliding-door area, commonly used for a kitchen galley. This provides more flexibility when planning your kitchen cabinet layout.

B-pillar area: The floor design includes a curved section intended to accommodate the factory B-pillar plastic trim behind the driver seat. If your van does not have this trim, or you plan to remove it, you may need to modify the outline—for example, by replacing the curved section with straight lines.

Recommended material: 1/2"–3/4" outdoor-rated plywood suitable for your intended application.

Before cutting, verify the design against your actual van, including front-seat clearance, factory plastic trim, rear-wheel configuration, flooring thickness, and planned interior layout. Adjust the outline as needed.

Option 2 — Wall Panels DXF

Wall panel cutting designs for your Sprinter camper conversion.

The designs include predrilled mounting holes intended to align with as many factory mounting holes as practical. However, factory mounting points are not available everywhere and may be unevenly distributed. Not every predrilled hole is guaranteed to match a factory hole on your van.

Before cutting, compare the hole locations with your actual van. Keep, omit, reposition, or add holes as needed based on your van's mounting points, trim, insulation, furring strips, and other modifications.

Recommended material: 1/4" birch plywood. It is relatively lightweight, reasonably solid, and can flex to accommodate some curved areas. The appropriate thickness and grade depend on panel spans, support, grain direction, and intended use.

Option 3 — Ceiling Panels DXF

Ceiling panel cutting designs to help you plan and cut your Sprinter's interior ceiling panels.

The designs include predrilled installation holes. Roof structures, mounting points, wiring, insulation, and previous modifications can vary between vans, so please verify the hole locations before cutting.

Check for wiring and roof components before drilling or installing fasteners, and adjust the design as needed for your particular build.

Recommended material: 1/4" birch plywood, subject to your support layout, panel spans, and intended application.

Option 4 — Door Panels DXF

The Door Panels package includes these three sections:

  • Upper sliding-door panel

  • Lower sliding-door panel

  • Upper tailgate (rear-door) panel

Recommended material: 1/4" birch plywood. Consider the panel curvature, available clearance, and mounting support when selecting your material.

For my own Sprinter door and wall panel installation, I used M5 rivet nuts and bolts. This is based on my personal build experience, not a guarantee that the same fasteners will suit every van. Please verify your mounting points and fastening method before installation.

Option 5 — Full Set DXF

The Full Set includes all four panel packages:

  • Floor Panels

  • Wall Panels

  • Ceiling Panels

  • Door Panels — upper and lower sliding-door panels, plus the upper tailgate panel

This option is for builders who want the complete set of available panel cutting designs for their selected Sprinter configuration.

  • Differences in mounting points and interior configurations

  • Insulation, furring strips, and flooring buildup

  • Material thickness and panel flexibility

  • Previous modifications or removed factory components

  • CNC tooling, kerf, and cutting accuracy

Please check the design against your actual vehicle and build plan before cutting. Make any necessary adjustments before committing to the final material.

You are responsible for confirming the suitability of your selected material, mounting hardware, and installation method for your application.

5. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (Q&A)

Q1: Is this a physical product or a digital download?

This is a digital DXF file product only. No physical panels, plywood, printed templates, hardware, or other items will be shipped.

Q2: What files will I receive after purchasing?

You will receive the DXF files corresponding to the vehicle configuration and panel package you select. For example, purchasing Floor Panels gives you the floor design files for your selected configuration. The Full Set includes floor, wall, ceiling, and door panel files.

Q3: Are PDF or printed paper templates included?

No. This listing is for DXF files only. Printed full-scale paper templates and PDF templates are not included.

Q4: Which Sprinter roof height are these files designed for?

These designs are intended for high-roof Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans. In European terminology, the relevant configurations are L2H2, L3H2, and L4H2. Please confirm your actual vehicle dimensions and configuration before ordering.

Q5: Do these files work with both left-hand-drive and right-hand-drive Sprinters?

Yes. The designs are intended for both LHD and RHD high-roof Sprinter configurations.

LHD vehicles are common in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and most of continental Europe. RHD vehicles are common in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Japan, India, South Africa, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

However, steering-wheel position alone does not determine fitment. Please verify your vehicle's body length, roof height, rear-wheel configuration, and interior dimensions before cutting.

Q6: How do European L2H2, L3H2, and L4H2 models correspond to North American 144", 170", and 170" Extended models?

As a general guide:

  • L2H2: Medium-length, high-roof body; broadly comparable to the shorter 144" configuration.

  • L3H2: Long, high-roof body; broadly comparable to the 170" configuration.

  • L4H2: Extra-long, high-roof body; broadly comparable to the 170" Extended configuration.

These are approximate comparisons rather than guaranteed one-to-one equivalents. Model-year differences, market-specific configurations, and actual body dimensions can affect compatibility. Please verify the measurements of your van before purchasing and cutting.

Q7: What do SRW and DRW mean?

  • SRW means Single Rear Wheel.

  • DRW means Dual Rear Wheel.

Please select the configuration that matches your van. Do not choose based on wheelbase alone.

Q8: Do I need a CNC machine to use these files?

You need access to a CNC machine or a CNC cutting service to cut the panels directly from these designs. You will also need compatible CAD/CAM software to review the files and prepare the toolpaths.

Q9: Are the files ready-to-run G-code?

No. The files are supplied in DXF format, not machine-specific G-code. You must generate toolpaths and select the appropriate cutting settings for your machine, tooling, material, and setup.

Q10: Will the panels fit my van perfectly without any modifications?

Not necessarily. Factory trim, mounting points, body dimensions, flooring thickness, insulation, and previous modifications can affect fitment. These designs provide a starting point, but you should verify all important dimensions and hole locations against your actual van before cutting.

Q11: Do all the predrilled wall panel holes match factory mounting holes?

No. The holes are intended to align with as many factory mounting holes as practical, but factory mounting points vary and are not available everywhere. You may need to add, omit, or reposition holes to suit your van.

Q12: Do I need to verify the ceiling installation holes?

Yes. Verify the ceiling hole locations against your actual roof structure and mounting points. Check for wiring, insulation, and other roof components before drilling or installing fasteners. Adjust the design as needed.

Q13: What plywood thickness do you recommend?

As a general starting point:

  • Floor panels: 1/2"–3/4" outdoor-rated plywood suitable for the intended application.

  • Wall panels: 1/4" birch plywood.

  • Ceiling panels: 1/4" birch plywood.

  • Door panels: 1/4" birch plywood.

These are recommendations rather than guarantees. The right material depends on the panel's span, support, grain direction, curvature, loads, and intended use.

Q14: Why does the floor design extend toward the front seats?

The floor design extends the factory floor toward the front driver and passenger seats, reaching close to the front seats to provide additional floor coverage for the conversion.

Please check front-seat clearance and the outline against your particular van before cutting.

Q15: What is the extra 700 mm section near the sliding door for?

The floor design includes an additional 700 mm extension in the sliding-door area. This is commonly useful when planning a kitchen galley and provides extra coverage for the kitchen cabinet area.

Please confirm that this extension suits your planned layout and available space.

Q16: What if my van does not have the factory B-pillar plastic trim?

The floor design includes a curved section intended to accommodate the factory B-pillar plastic trim behind the driver seat. If your van does not have this trim, or you plan to remove it, you may need to modify the outline, for example by replacing the curved section with straight lines.

Q17: Which fasteners should I use for the wall and door panels?

In my own installation, I used M5 rivet nuts and bolts for my wall and door panels. Your mounting points, panel construction, and installation method may differ, so please confirm that your selected fasteners are appropriate for your build. Hardware is not included.

Q18: Can I modify the DXF files?

You can review and modify the designs using compatible CAD software, subject to your software's capabilities. You may need to adjust dimensions, holes, or outlines to suit your van and construction method.

Please keep a backup of the original files before making changes.

Q19: Can I use these files for a different van model?

These designs are intended for the specified high-roof Sprinter configurations only. They are not designed for Ford Transit, Ram ProMaster, older Sprinter models, or other vehicle models. Different vehicles have different dimensions, trim, mounting points, and panel shapes.

Q20: What should I check before sending the files to a CNC service?

Before cutting, confirm:

  • The correct Sprinter configuration and panel package

  • High-roof body dimensions and steering configuration

  • DXF scale, units, and key dimensions

  • Material thickness and sheet size

  • Tool diameter, kerf, and toolpath settings

  • Mounting-hole locations and required clearances

  • Front-seat, factory-trim, and interior-layout clearance

It is a good idea to have the CNC operator review the files and cutting setup before machining the final material.

Q21: Can I contact you if I have questions before purchasing?

Absolutely. If you are unsure which configuration or panel package to select, please contact me before purchasing. I will do my best to clarify the available options and intended use of the files.
